*6th Meeting of the International Aphid Genomics Consortium*

The Board of the IAGC is planning for a one-day meeting of the IAGC to coincide with the 4th Annual Arthropod Genomics Symposium in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. The meeting will take place at the Marriott on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, KS, USA on Thursday June 10th 2010 between 8:30 am and 3:30pm. Additionally, since most people will need to arrive in Kansas City on Wednesday June 9th 2010 we will take the opportunity to meet informally on Wednesday evening. To participate in this informal gathering, meet in the lobby bar of the Marriott at 6pm on Wednesday June 9th 2010.

Goals of the meeting:
(1) Discussion of 2nd IAGC White Paper,
(2) Update on Acyr_2.0, the new assembly of the pea aphid genome,
(3) Updates from working groups on AphidAtlas, AphidBase, new genomes, and
(4) appointment of organizing committee for next workshop/annotation jamboree.
